I got the impression he was recommending the 1-6 over the 1-8 BUT I did tell him it was for a 10-22 and not an AR. It may be worth the extra $ to get the 1-8. I am leaning towards the 1-8.

Thanks gents. The Vortex rep was clearly trying to steer me to the 1-6 over the 1-8, even though I'd like the 8x.

Thank you Ben. Might try silhouette steel or just plink. I spoke to Vortex Optics last week. The rep recommended the 1-6 over the 1-8 for clarity. For the price range I'm trying to stay in it probably offers more value. Have you shot a 1-8 Strike Eagle?

Doing an upgrade of the 10-22 my Dad bought me. Has anyone mounted one on a 10-22 or have feedback? Current state of upgrade. Decided on a Kidd rail. Wanted something that could shoot quickly at 1x yet give me magnification to shoot at 100+ yards. Thanks in advance.

My apologies for the delay. I received my scope last month and have yet to zero it. Bushnell sent it without an instruction manual. Attached is the draft version I received. These are photos of my XRS 2 mounted. Still waiting to get range time to zero it.

Contacted Boyd’s who advised the AT-One weighs in at 3lbs. They do offer different grips for the AT-One. The Pro Varmint I have weighs 2.85lbs.

Thank you shoot4fun. Boyd’s advised the AT-One weighs 3lbs while the Pro Varmint weighs 2.85lbs. Boyd’s stated they make optional grips for the AT-One. I’ll have to think about that one. I do like the adjustable comb and buttstock on the AT-One.

Can you advise if it is lighter than the Boyds Pro Varmint? I'm looking at getting an AT-One for my FV-SR.
