    Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Yeah absolutely love it, did the online gracieuniversity and got my blue belt last year. Then I got a different job and my training partner moved to North Carolina. Been wanting to get back into it but between work and trying to get some shooting in I haven't had the chance to start back. It is...

    My 1200 yard .260

No problem, but like I said that's what was better for me. A more seasoned competition shooter might not have a problem.

    My 1200 yard .260

The leg notch made for faster height adjustments and the little knobs on the standard were difficult to deal with in a timed scenario ( for me )The bravo lock made it easier to tighten down so the s series bipod didn't move on me. I also added the padded Cheek rest and a rifle basix trigger to...

    My 1200 yard .260

I'm with you topgun050 I love my savages. I am using the 140 grain hornady A-Max, my rifle loves them doesn't shoot anything else very well besides Sierra matchkings. But I stick with the A-max because it will still knock a ground hog at far distances.

    My 1200 yard .260

This is my savage model 12 LRP in .260. Have posted pics before showing the progress but now it is finally done. This rifle has been taken out to 1200 yards on multiple occasions and does not disappoint. At 100 yards it can shoot quarters all day as long as I show up. Lol.... In the fall I...

McRee Chassis bottom bolt release savage issue

I am not 100% on this but I thought that McRees were designed to fit savage rifles with the bolt beside the safety. You might want to call McRee and ask some questions.

    New to LR

H&S precision, McMillan, Manners all make nice stock upgrades for the model 70. Many companies make trigger upgrades, just depends on what you want to spend. Its all in what you want. Those are two good upgrades to start with in my opinion. They make a good solid base then put some good glass on...

Tikka T3 super varmint versus Savage model 12 LRP

Re: Tikka T3 super varmint versus Savage model 12 LRP Wish I had the bucks to do a custom build but that is not going to happen any time soon. I think for now I am going to go with the savage lrp. I like the trigger and have had great luck with savage in the past. The barrels are easy to...

ordered a savage in .260 today

Re: ordered a savage in .260 today Took the rifle back this afternoon to local gun shop. Asked them to return it to the supplier and order the savage .260 LRP. The LRP was only 150 dollars more. Not a hard decision there so It should be in about 9 days. Hopefully this one impresses me more...

ordered a savage in .260 today

Re: ordered a savage in .260 today Gun came in today just went and got it. From first impressions I actually was not very impressed. But I had to really take a look at the rifle to appreciate what it had to offer. Out of the box the barrel was thinner than what I would like. That was the part...

Re: ordered a savage in .260 today I was doing some research on the web and everyone had good things to say about this rifle. Savage has a good name and reputation for being accurate out of the box. I thought the leupold mark 4 8.5-25 was a good match for the rifle and was hoping this setup...
