I have the 110 FCP-HS. Pretty happy with it. I can shoot .5 moa with it out to 1000. I have a buddy that has a Savage in 243 and it's a tack driver as well. I'm not sure that I'd consider one bad experience an indictment on a company. But if you're that unhappy with Savage, then by all means go...

I have a Savage 110 338. My rifle likes Hornady 250's over Reloader 19. I'm pushing it at about 2700 fps. Solid out to 1k. I haven't shot farther as I don't have access to anything other than 1k.

I use an SWFA SS 16x42. At $300 it is a great bang for the buck. I shoot from 100-1000 with it on my Savage 338LM. There are other scopes that are better, but not for the money. Opinions will vary. I often shoot prairie dog steel and a 6" circle at 1000 with it.

I shot my Ruger 22/45 yesterday with a Bushnell TRS-25 at a silhouette at 200 yards and hit it. Once out of about 5 or 6 shots, but I was pretty happy with it. Using CCI SV. No can on it......yet. Waiting on ATF. Hoping for October.

I just wear my glasses. I don't like the thought of wearing 2 pair of glasses at the same time. When I was fishing tournaments, a company called "Cocoons" had sunglasses that would fit over your glasses. Looked at them a few times and never could get around it.
