Gunsmithing Rem 700 Sear Spring Needed

Re: Rem 700 Sear Spring Needed I just tried poppertsgunparts but they require a minimum $10 order plus $5 for shipping...then I happened to check eBay and found one for $10 shipped. I am in a bit of a rush, so I ordered it up from eBay. Thanks MAGUA for the help. Mark

Gunsmithing Rem 700 Sear Spring Needed

I made a rookie mistake and messed up the sear spring on my Rem 700P LTR trying to adjust the overtravel screw on the trigger. I was not aware that the sear spring rides on top of the overtravel screw and will drop down if you back the screw out too far. For some reason, I can't seem to find...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce Unimount

Re: Nightforce Unimount Here is a picture of the third 5 shot group out of the gun today and ever (first time shot)... Not bad for a stock Remington LTR. However, it did almost take two fingers to pull back the trigger...HEAVY. That is the next evening project. Thanks for all of your...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce Unimount

Re: Nightforce Unimount I finally got the scope mounted and took it to the range. It does sit a little higher than I would have liked, but I have the Karsten cheek piece in the mail so I want to see how that feels before I swap it out for standard rings. The base of the scope sits 5/16" off...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce Unimount

Re: Nightforce Unimount Trg42 - Thanks for the pic! I need to check the height of my Unimount, but that is what I hope my rig comes out like. The Unimount was an impulse buy, I got 10% of my NXS and they offered the same deal on the Unimount...so I bought both. If it doesn't play out, I...

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce Unimount

I just purchased a Nightforce Unimount to attach my Nightforce 3.5-15x56 to a Rem 700P LTR. If the Unimount has 20 M.O.A of taper built into it, which base should I use on the rifle? Will there be any potential negatives to having a 20 M.O.A base under the 20 M.O.A Unimount? Thanks.

Rifle Scopes Noob w/ new rifle... which scope?

Re: Noob w/ new rifle... which scope? Save your money for a 3.5-15X50 Nightforce NXS. IMO it can't be beat for the money.

Rifle Scopes Best magnification for 1000 yard F-class

Re: Best magnification for 1000 yard F-class I set my 3.5-15X50 Nightforce NXS to 15 and never had a problem. 10" to 13" five shot groups all day long.

Rifle Scopes 1000 Yrd Laser Range Finder

Re: 1000 Yrd Laser Range Finder It sounds like the Bushnell has a pretty loyal following. It is definitely worth considering for the $. I think I need to organize a field test - then return and report. Surprisingly, the optics in my Nikon (I am a big fan of their camera gear) aren't that...

Rifle Scopes 1000 Yrd Laser Range Finder

Re: 1000 Yrd Laser Range Finder I appreciate all of the insight. I think I have the ol' Nikon sold to a bowhunting buddy of mine. I was not aware of the Swaro, but at $1K new, I am going to have to monitor the used market. In the end, it sounds like the Leica is where I will end up. Thanks...

Rifle Scopes 1000 Yrd Laser Range Finder

I am looking for advise on a Laser Range Finder that will reliably range objects at 1000yrds. I now have a Nikon 600 that I am not impressed with. I have a hard time with objects out at 400 yrds. Here is my one caviat...I don't want to break the bank. Let's say +/- $500.
