    Hello, I have been using 88.0 grs of retumbo with 300 smk and want to use h-1000. The data that people show are using more powder than me reaching max load. Looks like I would be using 84 to 85.5 grs of h-1000; anybody seeing same result?

    RCBS standard die set, full length sizing die and seat die; also a form and trim die. I also just bought an inside-neck ream die and use modified #14 shell holder. I use all RCBS; I think it's important not to mix different companies dies / shell holders.

    How often should I be cleaning?

    Clean after every time I shoot the gun. I'm trying not to ever use a brush, letting the solvent to work. When your done cleaning your gun, last thing is to swab with alcohol. I don't want any lube in that barrel, makes for a better cold bore shot.

    Resizing brass from 308 to 260

    STR, I would advise inside neck ream. Anytime you go from a bigger caliber to a smaller caliber those necks are thicker and may cause a problem. I make different cases all the time and most of the time start with a form die.
