OP, after you have broken in your new Lima, I also would be very interested in a comparison of the five rifles you mention owning: TacOps, Gap, AIAX, Ashbury and TR. I know which one I expect to be your new favorite ;-}
Thanks for the post on your nice new Lima. I haven't seen that many posts of new Tac Ops lately, but I haven't been lurking either- Makes me excited to think about getting the new Delta light weight I ordered last year. Clock's ticking!
Yeah, I just re-read this a few days ago. Check the part about the bullet in flight describing a "helix" around a center, and about how a bullet from a more accurate rifle, traveling in a tighter helix, is affected less by wind. After I read all this stuff, I ordered a lightweight Delta 51...
Pretty harsh thread here. No surprise Mike has not posted again! FWIW, I have a Tac Ops Delta 51 on order, I own an Xray 51, and they are built to an extremely high standard. If you're interested in actually finding out what kind of rifles Mike builds, read this: Tactical Operations Response...
It was not LAPD (Los Angeles Police Dept, as in LA City cops). It was LASD (Los Angeles Sheriff Dept. as in LA County cops). Mike built all of the sniper rifles for LA Sheriff SWAT (or whatever they call it)
THAT's nice to hear. They were supposed to be shipping in the late spring. Its now August 15 and I've heard nothing from the dealer I ordered one from back in March.

Like most or all of you, I assume the TR lawsuit will be dismissed as frivolous. Once that court action is taken, it will then be much easier to persuade TR sponsors to bail on them. FWIW IMHO
Investing in rifles and shooting is great, but cannot equal the value in investing in our children. Father-son experiences are extremely important, and they grow up faster than you can believe. Value the Time.

"Surprise" was a great seller to deal with. Great communication as we worked thru doing the deal over Christmas/New Years, and FFL going on vacation. Tac Ops Xray 51 was exactly as described or better. Extremely clean rifle with low round count. Thanks!
Dude- That is such a cool rifle. The engraving really pops on the black-T barrel. Interesting you got the Tango barrel, as that is what I have on order with Mike since last month- a Delta 51 with Tango barrel. Lightweight with adjustable cheek and length. Sweet! But I am getting standard...
