    Fieldcraft Coveralls for ghillie suit?

Well, according to my wife I am a total redneck.

    Fieldcraft Coveralls for ghillie suit?

Does that mean no one does it? Are there some serious drawbacks to the 1 piece? Or is 2 piece used because like most of us former military guys, there are seabags full of old uniforms sitting in the basement? I would use some of my old woodlands, unfortunately I'm not size skinny anymore. I...

    Fieldcraft Coveralls for ghillie suit?

Does anyone have any advice as to the overall utility of using a set of coveralls for a ghillie? In theory it seems the idea could have some comfort advantages, but I've never worn one either 1 or 2 piece.

Dropped my Rem 700 bolt on the ground...now what?

Why butt hurt? I didn't even fully disagree with you. 3 years total? Not hardly. I learned TIG back in 1997, just never certified until the current employer needed it.

Dropped my Rem 700 bolt on the ground...now what?

James has about the best answer. IF it was a TIG weld it was done very improperly. At best the blown up picture looks more like 3 tac welds. Even then very lightly done. When I first started school for TIG even my spotwelds, while ugly, would not break. In 3 years of dealing with TIG welds and...

Dropped my Rem 700 bolt on the ground...now what?

I guess it may look like a TIG weld to someone that doesn't deal with TIG welding every day of his working life. I am a certified TIG welder, and the original picture (that is not there anymore) did have solder where the bolt once was, it was that cruddy metalic substance that was under where...

Looking to build a LR rifle.

Where is the Shooter D category? Ok I'll create it. Shooter D; Been around firearms and talented shooters all their lives. Many come from hunting and/or military backgrounds back when you target shot with .22lr because the old guys were way too frugal to waste expensive ammo on paper. Spent...

Dropped my Rem 700 bolt on the ground...now what?

The picture in the OP looks nothing like a TIG weld. It would have to be done purposeful to break a proper TIG welded bolt handle.

    M40 Build Guide

That looks reeeeeeeaaaaallllly nice. Swap ya my varmint rifle for it. ;) After discovering pure tung oil, I gave up on linseed as a gunstock finish. Much easier to work with, better waterproofing and does not darken the wood over time. Also does not mold, which modern BLO can do if not allowed...

Chili never has beans, if it does then it's beans not chili. I'll see your Shiner Bock and raise you a Shiner Black.

Love that Shiloh. Love my Shiloh. Mine has the vernier and globe sights though, which makes mine slightly less attractive than yours. That GAP looks good too. Lets see more views of both. I wonder if anyone has ever tried an octagon barrel on a modern bolt gun.

Not so strange when Federal and Speer are owned by the same conglomerate. Along with CCI and Alliant and a few others

I am calling for a Christmas Truce on the Savage-Remington Front lines...

Oh really. I have a 2006 700 SP with no work done that will shoot better than any Savage I've seen. Lets keep it real. My new 700 with the crappy X Mark breaks at exactly 3 1/2 out of the box, by my scale. I personally do not like the new savage trigger, prefer the older one. One shouldn't paint...
