We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
7mm Mag no question about it. Easier on the wallet, shoulder, and barrels. Factory ammo is everywhere, performance is something you'll take a LONG time to find limitations if ever.
Related to the intended use question is how does what you have now NOT do what you intend? The .30-06 can be loaded nicely hot with modern bullets and powders to do a lot of what the Win Mag does. The decision should be made based on problems or limitations actually encountered.
People keep saying that. Right now I'm in the middle of just coming out of "Oh f*** what did I do" stage, still in the noise and destruction and only getting tiny shreds of the payoff. But now at least my wife is starting to talk to me normally again OCCASIONALLY and he's just over 3 so he's...
Pressure is specific to an individual chamber though, isn't it? There's often a difference in published load data between companies because of this, such as a difference between Hornady's data and Hodgdon's data for the same combo of powder and bullet, as I understand. Could have a different...
Speed is nice but for me it's more the consistency of not having to break cheek weld and grip and be distracted by doing anything other than watch the target, focus on my mechanics, and keep sending them. Same reason I shoot suppressed 100% of the time with a rifle except for rimfire.
Pretty much my thoughts too. While I can't say that I personally would even attempt that level of man-slut-ism, just from a moral point of view or can't keep that many names straight and/or don't have that kind of scheduling and logistical talent, whichever you believe, who honestly can say...
The present situation reminds me that the thing I need to improve most first is myself. Gotta get in better physical shape, better organized, etc. then seek out assistance of others.
My answer to this is the same as with all other equipment in all categories of life: does the higher $ stuff actually solve a problem which YOU have encountered or will encounter that cannot be solved with what you have? Do YOU currently run what YOU have to the limits to where YOU can tell...
I personally don't have access to 1000 but my club does reach to 800ish and for me I just enjoy gas guns so much more than bolt guns for many reasons. Maybe I'm obtuse but to me I like something that I don't have to care as much about where my rifle runs out of juice. Other than .22LR I like...
Definitely thinking of it, but largely thinking of avoiding the areas entirely. It does make a lot of sense to have something capable, like a 8.5" blackout rather than 5.56.
