You shouldn't need much. You can find stocks for them, barrels have to be made for each rifle anyways and they already have good triggers.

@ OP, You can always just buy a .308 barrel for your rifle and have the ability to use two cartridges. Savages are apparently easy to headspace. You can go from .308 to .30-06 or vice versa in an evening.
