    2 stage AR trigger

MBT-2S Trigger arrived today, it breaks cleanly at 4 pounds, with the light spring. Checked the ALG ACT before swapping and it was 6 1/4" pounds. I think the ALG ACT was almost as smooth, just heavier. No issues with positive reset or feel of the trigger blade as some have reported. Very happy...

    2 stage AR trigger

I am looking for a 2 stage AR15 trigger for a general use carbine. Want to spend between $80 to $150. Currently have an ALG ACT single stage in the rifle and while smooth the pull weight is 6.75lbs. Would like to get it down to 3.5 to 4.5 lbs. What would be a good smooth trigger in that price...

    Tikka T3 scope

Thanks for the replies. I ordered the Leupold VX-3HD scope with their Back Country one piece ring mounts and the Mountain Tactical bottom metal. Should be fine for my use. Thanks, Mike

    Tikka T3 scope

I just got a new Tikka T3X Lite stainless in .223 and had a couple questions. I have a Bergara B14 HMR in .308 and in my old age was looking for something a little lighter in weight and less recoil. I was going to add a Mountain Tactical bottom metal [will use the factory mags] and was...

    Scope for new AR build

Hi, I am putting together a new upper and need a scope. For this build I have a 16" White Oak 1 in 7 twist SPR barrel, Aero Precision M4E1 upper receiver, their nickel boron bolt carrier group, ALG ACT trigger, ATLAS S1 M-LOK 15" handguard & American Defense Recon QD scope mount. I have [2]...

    Looking at a new scope

I am looking for a new scope for an 18" AR I have. I have a Trijicon Credo HX 1-6 on a 16" model but am looking for a little more magnification for the 18" I was looking at the Leupold MARK 3HD 4-12x40 w the TMR reticle and the Nightforce SHV 3-10x42 w the MOAR reticle The 10 power would be...

    Low power scope for AR

I was able to look at a Vortex Viper PST and decided it was off the list. I think I want to spend a little more money and am now thinking about the Trijicon Credo 1-6 Red dot BDC or the Leupold Mark 3HD 1.5-4x20 Firedot BDC. I have owned Leupolds for 40 years and feel comfortable with them but I...

    Low power scope for AR

Thanks for all the replies. I have narrowed it down to the Vortex Viper PST GEN2 and the Athlon Midas BTR GEN2, both in 1-6x24. Not interested in any other models. I can not find any locally to look through and was wondering what the consensus was on the best one? Will go on a 16" carbine...

    Low power scope for AR

Thanks for all the replies. I decided to go with a Vortex Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24. I like the reticle in that one better than the horseshoe style which seems to be all the rage. Will wait and see if there are any Memorial Day sales. Is the Aero ultralight a decent mount? Don't really need a...

    Low power scope for AR

I just ordered a new Aero Precision 16" AR to make a RECCE style carbine. What would be the best low power [1-6] scope and mount to put on it. My budget is $700. It will be rarely shot and will mainly be used at the range with a 300 yard max distance. Thanks

    Mid priced spotting scope choice

Hi, Thanks for all the replies. I have [2] pair of binoculars, a Steiner 10x42 and a Pentax 8x42. I would rather use a spotting scope with a minimum of 20 power in this instance. Thanks, Mike
