Re: 03 A3 Composit stock in stock anywhere
I have a B&C stock on a 1903 sporter, and at least the one I have is a total POS. I had it shipped directly to the gunsmith who was barreling the action for me (for free), and he altered the stock before I ever saw it. I would doubtless have returned it otherwise! Since he was building the rifle for free, I figured I couldn't complain to the gunsmith too much.
The barrel channel was crooked, and the rear TG screw hole was about an inch off-center. Since he had already milled the barrel channel to be able to seat the barreled action in the stock, I was stuck with it. It took a LOT of work to make it functional, and it looks like ass.
While I would probably buy a B&C stock for a popular rifle like a Remington, I will never again order one for an uncommon rifle.
