would the 168 30 cal amax be tough enough for hog and deer??? or should i stop being lazy and buy some nosler ballistic tips and work up a load?

Every hog I shot with a 168 Amax has run off. Some were shot multiple times and all were inside of 100 yards. For hogs I only use FMJ bullets.
Shot two deer with 168gr amax.
1st was @475yds and it was a neck shot. Dead in its tracks.
2nd was 250yds shoulder to shoulder and it dropped 25 yards away. I

165gr SST or Nosler partition. Nosler B/T's are ok for longer ranges where they have a chance to slow down some, but if they are running too fast when they hit they have a tendency to break up before they penetrate enough, I'm speakin of 150's though, haven't used heavier B/T's yet.
I used 168 Amax on deer for the first time last year. I killed 2 whitetail with them and both dropped dead in their tracks. I will be using them again this year for both deer and hogs and have absolute confidence that they will get the job done.
Several friends of mine use them with good results. I personally use the 168 VLD (orange box) in my 308 for deer and hogs. Works VERY well.
