Been reading forums for the last couple days and am really impressed with what a lot of the boys on here have to say. Lot of trigger time on this site. Decided to go prone and get my belly dirty with this crew.
I just wore out a Rem 700 5R barrel with the components you mentioned above (took 5500 rounds to do it) Had that Rem action rebarreled with a HART 40X taper 1/10 twist barrel, ain't shot it yet.
175 SMK, 44 gr Varget, Lapua neck sized brass, 2.875 OAL, 210M primer, 2725 fps MV (boarder line hot load)
Trajectory is metric, I've got a Schmidt and Bender 10X PMII on this rig (metrics grow on ya after a while, more quicker)
100 - 0
200 - 11 cm
300 - 33 cm
400 - 80 cm
500 - 150cm
600 - 252cm
700 - 392cm
800 - 544cm
900 - 783cm
1000-1030cm
Conversion cm to inches (cm X 0.39 = ht in inches)
ie. 1030 X 0.39 = 401.7 inches drop @ 1000 yards
This table served me for 4 years. It will get you close.
