Just cleaning out my shop from a couple lifetimes ago. Found an old '03/A-3 taken in trade about thirty years back. Remington, serial #4033XXX.
Drill & tap job, for the one-piece Redfield base. Swapped-out to what appears to be a Sportsman model Timney. Bolt cut & welded to a sporter-style downsweep. Bueller safety.

Any idea what I ought to do with it?
Anyone interested in a new project?

Re: 1903/A3 Bolt,Trigger & Receiver Only

Re-read the OP and shooting an action is not the smartest advice I have given recently. Following it would be even worse.

Got any pictures of this gem? I need another project like I need a social disease, but I've done dumber things.

Re: 1903/A3 Bolt,Trigger & Receiver Only

If I didn't already have one (or is it three?), I'd be sorely tempted. Well, that, and I'm 7,931 miles from home. But who's counting?

I've got one box-stock M1903, one 03-A3 sporter (in .30-06), and an '03 sporter in 6.5-06. I'll probably be looking to move some of them once I get back to the States.
