Suppressors 1911 suppressor / barrel info ?

Guys looking into a can for my 1911.new at this, and looking into a 45 and 22lr. at nra show i was leaning twards the gemtek blackside ? are they truley hearing safe dry ? as stated by the rep

was looking for opnions on the suppressors and what is a good threaded barrel to get ?

also, i reload all my target/plinking ammo with SWC, bad idea shooting lead as they do not disassembal for cleaning.

I run a storm lake barrel and a YHM Cobra II. The YHM comes apart so I shoot lead through it. I run wire pulling gel in mine to make it even quieter. My ears must be getting worse because even after the gel is burned up, it still sounds hearing safe to me. A 45 with a can is a HOOT!!!

Never heard any other 45 cans so, I can't help on the Gemtech. I'm happy with my Gemtech Tundra (9mm). Let me know when you're coming to OH and I'll throw the 45 in the car.

Silencerco Osprey and AAC TiRant are the ones I'd be looking at. Also you can contact AWC...they usually have threaded 1911 barrels in stock.
