I took a collard dove this weekend with the same slingshot, I have mine set up OTT.
My son shot this one with my smokeless muzzleloader yesterday afternoon. 278 Pittman hard-core at 2610 fps. 75 yard shot. The deer was missing an eye and has a tine broken off. Weighed 160 field dressed.
Filled my last tag for the year. He's a 7-8yr old brute, 24" wide 6pt Whitetail. Love hunting the really mature bucks. 400yds with a 6.5saum 129gr ablr at 3200fps.
He’s no monster, but he’s my first buck. 15yrds from the ground in my backyard.
How does the ABLR hold up for you? I have 200 of them and just loaded 10 to try with Rl16 out of my 18" 6.5 Creed. Hoping to see 2750-2780 fps like I get with the 130 Norma.

Here is a 129 that went through both shoulders of a bull elk at 250yds with 6.5cm. We've taken prob 50 large game with the ABLR and nothing but positive results. Too bad they doubled the price on them.

This is the first deer I decided to pull the trigger on in the last six years. I enjoy watching my kids fill their tags and freezers too much.

Not a trophy by any measure but a difficult stalk in open country. 460 yards with the 20” 280 Ackley .

Funny I have been saying the exact opposite about the three antelope I shot here in Wyoming. They had almost no fat. So far it has been a very warm Oct and Nov. My brother wants snow here when he comes for turkey day. I told him to get over it .........
The persimmons have been full of spoons and people have been seeing nothing but black wooly worms so it's gonna suck round here

Rage did the job. have them in the quiver this year, you had any issues with them?
Haven’t had any issues, though I literally screwed those Hypodermics on the arrows the night before, so haven’t had many chances to see any issues. They are currently 1-0 for me.
That's awesome. I've heard great things but i'm weary of shot selection. Apparently they don't like angled shots.
I am 3 for 3 with the hypodermics this year. 2 were broadside and one was a 1/4 away. Furthest made it 60 yards, all had amazing blood trails.
I had good luck with the 2" original Rare until one made a 90 degree right turn on a routine 23 yard broadside on a doe. She was facing left and it cut the bottom of her heart, turned right, and stayed in her. She went almost a half mile. Took a few hours of tracking, but I found her. She laid down withing 30 yards, so I thought she was done. I stayed in the stand for another hour or more as I had other tags to fill. I switched back to fixed blades. The hypodermic may stay straighter. I had 6 pass through shots with the originals, but that one was enought to make me switch.

I had a similar experience. Fixed blade for me, got a doe yesterday, went ten yards.

she was surprised I told her to shoot it. The deal is if the buck is trotting or walking and won’t stop it’s mine. If it stops and is a good angle it’s hers. It was stopped and a good angle so it was hers. The stuff we do for our kids.
Saturday morning, opening day on a public WMA. 165 yards with the PVA barreled Tikka in 300wsm. With the can on, it was a two hit affair. The bullet hit him and he hit the ground.
