I dont think it was lack of republican voters. I haven't seen this many people at my little podunk voting location since Obama was elected. And there were no Obama supporting types there this time. I showed up about 30 Minutes before closing time and there's usually not five people in the place, especially for a midterm. I actually had to wait in line this time.

No, he can't. McCain was born in Panama to parents that were serving in the US Military. That allowed McCain to become a natural US Citizen and could run and hold the presidency. Cruz was born in Canada and immigrated to the US.

As currently ruled on by the courts, if you were eligible to be a USA citizen at birth either by being born in the USA or one of its territories, or because one or more of your parents were USA citizens when you were born abroad (and as such you have the consular report of citizen birth abroad document) then you are good.
I understand some folks may not like that, but that's the way it is.
Early voting is very important and is no less secure than voting on election day, perhaps even more secure due to lower pressure = more scrutiny allowed.
If you disagree, just look at what happened in AZ when in "some areas" the voting machines just so happened to "malfunction" on election day....
Easy to pull off for a single day, but you aren't going to get away with doing that for 2 or 3 weeks of early voting.
You think that would be the case but Obama was born in Kenya, but technically, Hawaii. However, there was technically not enough residency. Sen McCain was born on a military base in what was then the US Panama Canal Zone that Carter gave back, later. Levar Burton, the actor, was born on a US military base in Germany (an military brat) but he could technically serve. Was George Washington american-born? Biden was born in USA but acts as if he is from China.
Point being, there were legitimate questions and shaky documents around Obama's birth and he was elected, anyway. In fact, it was not until halfway through his second term that the state of Hawaii finally produced a duplicate certificate of birth. Evidently, it takes 6 years for the request for duplicate records in the state of Hawaii.

We have had this conversation multiple times here. The USG isn’t giving up Texas and there aren’t enough people to vote for it. If you think the Trump admin was full of saboteurs you should multiply that by 100x in your scenario plus add in a Gulf blockade, economic sanctions and ultimately military force to put down what would be labeled an insurrection. No way the USG will let go of the largest military bases, resources and strategic assets. And with the voting block changing it will never happen anyway. It’s doomed to failure.
