225 gr. Hornady BTHP + H-1000 Load Data

I recieved some of these new <span style="font-weight: bold">225gr.Hornady BTHP </span>bullets in the mail a couple days ago and finally got around to loading some up for my .300WM for some range testing.

I thought I would share my load data since there isnt much or any out there for this bullet. I used the 220gr SMK data (Sierra Manual) because the base to ogive length on both of these bullets are the same (.900") and are relativly the same weight.

Seated Ogive OAL - 2.883" (.020" off lands)
OAL - 3.585" (avg)
Redding Type "S" Bushing Die w/ Competition Seater (.332" Bushing)

I will post my results after I get to the range. Im interested to see what i get for velocity and accuracy.

Thats great. My chamber is a little shorter than yours, so I was starting @ 73.0gr of H-1000. My ogive length is 3.772, & I'm using neck turned (.012") WW brass sized with a .333 bushing, but my seating problem will prevent me from testing them 'till I can contact Hornady.
