I've been seeing varget and h1000 mentioned these are the powders I try to use in most of my rifles.I have not been able to gather any real information for either in 25-06 maybe they won't work maybe they will.but somebody here most likely knows.I would like to run 117 or 120's but any info would help.

Re: 25-06 load help

I know it is not what you are asking in your post but I run H4831 SC from 85 gr NBT to 115 NBT's and get excellent accuracy. 25-06 is a laser from 75 to 115 out of my rifle. Did not shoot Sierra 90 gr hp's good though. Good Luck on your search. Try this link it goes to online load data for Hodgen,IMR,and Winchester. It list H1000 and Varget.

Re: 25-06 load help

I have owned three, a 25'06 Remington and two 25'06Ackleys. A long time ago, I used H4831 and W760, but in the most recent AI, I have been using R-22 and get about 200FPS over any of the previous barrels.

Something I settled on, also a long time ago is a 100 grain bullet, for everything, coyotes to mule deer. I have used a lot of different bullets, 75VMax to the 117 Sierra and a 100 grain Nosler ballistic tip seems to do it all. FWIW BB

Re: 25-06 load help

wmr264,

I reload 25-06 for a couple of buddies. They both like VV-N560, WLR primers and Hornady 117gr. bullets on deer and hogs.
