I assume there are more than one organization doing similar protests, there will probably be many others pop up as well. I would think it would be best to have just one event with everybody, but I'd go to multiple ones if thats what it takes to get the message across.

Ironically, in my state capitol, this would potentially put me in violation of city law and subject to arrest... I'll ask my Denver SWAT contact on the particulars and see if I can post up, with his permission, his answer on what to do and not along with contact info for confirmation for the Colorado folks.

Well, it says for <span style="color: #FF0000">ALL FIREARMS LAWS TO BE FOLLOWED </span> So every one needs to find out what can and cant be done, and do it.

Yes, please know your laws if you plan to carry to this event. I'm sure that law enforcement will be hypersensitive (due to media exposure and possible city/state requests) to weapon related infractions. Also, know the difference between municipal vs state laws and if there are any differences in regards to carrying. Remember, you will most likely be standing on state property, so be sure to know if there's a difference.

I just wanted to remind everybody of that because you never know what the media may blow out of proportion, especially if there is any kind of law enforcement action. Don't give them any opportunity to spread more misinformation.

I encourage everybody that can go, to go. Nothing would make me happier than to see an uneventful demonstration that sends the right message.

Well said, PLEASE for the love of God and Country, get in front of the cameras before the uninformed bubba types do. Do not let them be the ones on the 10 o'clock news. Intelligent, sensible, fact based discussions should be had. The last thing we need is the media to portray us all as rascist, anti government, gun toting fools.

Denver is its own beast, along with Boulder. Its laws are akin to California as concerns firearms. Honestly, I'm not even sure what they are since I make a point to not go there if at all possible.

While this event seemingly would be on state property, gotta go through city limits and subject to its laws to do so.

There will be one held on 23 Jan in Harrisburg,PA. These are great ideas but they need to be organized well and have everyone on the same page of music. It will only take one ass-clown to do something stupid in front of the media that will over shadow anything good coming from the rest of the peaceful protesters because that's what will end up on the evening news.

CS1983, Boulder and Denver police may believe they have stricter gun laws, but they don't. I have no reservations about carrying in either municipality. Check the CBI website, it clearly states no local municipality can supersede state law. However, if a weapon is carried open (which is legal in CO) they may try a "public menacing" charge which would be a PITA to deal with.

I wish the rallies weren't on a Friday. Most conservatives are AT WORK FRIDAY! But I guess the reps won't be there on the weekend.
