300 Lapua Magnum , why NOT ?

Just donot get wanting high velocity from a 338LM size case , and then you SHORTEN IT a lot , and get the 300NM & 338NM , I seem to remember when the 338LM was released by Lapua , they also ran data in reloading books for the 300LM version wildcat ?

So why not go full hog , and just use a 338LM and nneck to 30 cal ?

300/338 Norma can fit in non CIP magazines even.

300 lapua mag is certainly doable as is 300 RUM.

You can’t meaningfully burn the extra powder even in extra long barrels, the extra large case is less than ideal in actions with Rem 700 dimensions, with barrel life that short you don’t want to be playing around forming much, and it’s expensive.
