Range Report 300WM +155's = ??? velocity

What kind of velocity are you guys getting w/ the 155 grain bullets in your 300 Win Mags?

I've always shot the heavier bullets, but would like some real world velocity numbers to play with the dope and compare.

Been discussed here several times. It is way into the land of diminishing returns and a waste of powder. About 150 FPS over a stout long barreled 308 load with almost double the powder.

A 30-06 should be 150 fps faster than a 308 with 155s, this should put a 300 WM in the 250-300 fps faster than a 308 -- or about 3200-3250 fps +/-.

stick with the heavier bullets to get the most out of the cartridge.

3400 fps is easily obtainable.

I have a GAP .300 WM with 1/10 twist barrel that shot the 155gr between 3400-3500fps. The accuracy was aprox 3/4 MOA at 200 for load development. If I had to do it over again I would run a 11.25 or 12 twist barrel.
If I could run them at 3450fps I believe I would have been around 19 MOA at 1K!!
Barrel life would be aprox. 900-1300 rounds.
When I out shoot this 1/10 barrel I am going to a Krieger 1/12 and she what I can do.
