.300WM question

I'm just getting in to the .300 WM cartridge and haven't been able to find a reloading book anywhere.

Q: will H1000 powder work with 215 or 230 grain MTH berger bullets? If so, would this be a decent 1000-1500 yd round? I have had zero luck finding 208 amax bullets.

H1000 will fit the bill on the 208's and the 230's. Berger has h1000 listed as 65.5 to start and 72.9 max for the 230's using h1000. On the 208's I'd start around 73.5 grains and work your way up. A word on the 230's. I have found the OTM much easier to find a good load for. The hybrid targets are a good bit longer and I can't seem to get them shooting like the otms. I know the extra bc on the targets matters a good bit at elr but it is what it is. I just found this load yesterday. It was 40/1000's off lands....
