I was toyin around today and did a 10 shot group out of my gun. Here is what I came up with. This was using mixed brass and 175gr smk pulls under 42gr of varget. The target was 300 yrds with a head wind/ soft left cross.

I did not have my fireformed lapua brass for this outting so I used some of my ar10 stuff i had loaded up.

My rifle is a Remington 700 custom. A friend of mine is a master machinest so we built it in his garage. Mike rock original 5R barrel I found unchambered that was sitting in a mans safe for ages awaiting a build, Holland oversized lug, trued action and a few tweaks. timed barrel to 12 o'clock added a jewel trigger, aics 2.0 chassis, ken farrel 20moa rail, badger rings, S&B pmii 5-25x56 scope. im sure i am leaving something out but these shots were taken raw off the bi pod on a concreit pad with the gun case to lay on. No fancy rest. Kind of anxious to shoot my 1st loads through it from a rest to see what I can really do with it. A few pictures to go along with it.

Thanks guys. I guess I kind of have a thing for fat barrels ;) I think I will load some laupa match stuff up which is what my reamer was spec'd out with and some non pulled sierras and shoot it off a rest with bags at 300 yrds and see if I can improve that target a little.

I shot again with the lapua brass that my reamer was spec'd out to. My nk is .342 on it. I closed the groups up a bit. As soon as I can get pics up I will. Pretty pleased with this home build.

2 more targets

I used lapua brass and smk bullets but still shot off the bi pod. here are 2 more 10 rnd targets at 300yrds. It was a nice day but windy.
