.308 Ammo/Diffirent Grains & Loads

    Just a question. Are 155 Scenars the same as 155 match loads, as far as length and dimensions. Will any .308 fire the 155 scenars or does your rifle have to be chambered for it. The same goes for 175 bergers? Is it the same as a 175 grain match round? If not the same please explain.

    any .308 rifle will fire any 30cal projectile no matter what the grain, different twist rates will play a factor on how accurate the result is.

    Berger makes match and VLD, dont think they are the same dementions and I sure they are, at least slightly different, from company to company. Same with the 155's Sierra makes two different kinds and there is lapua.

    you can get into the nit picky "BR" type mind set or you can grab a .308 off the shelf and feed it almost anything and it'll shoot MOA or better.

    good luck playing with the infinate amout of options you have for the .308
