Hello, I have a 340PD for ccw. I order it before all the rigamarole and got it with out a lock with hi-viz sights and so forth. I paid to have new springs to help with the factory trigger. Well I went and bought some snap caps and went to town dry firing the little bugger. Well the trigger is better, but it still sucks. I'm in Tulsa are Oklahoma. Maybe someone will know a local pistol smith who can smooth things up a bit and not screw me in the process. Please any and all help would be appreciated.

The problem with stoning the mating surfaces on any of the J Frames is that if who ever doesn't know what they are doing they will cut right through the surface hardening. It's not a hard task by any means its just an easy one to get too carried away with

If you don't know what you are doing, don't remove the side plate. If the internals need stoning, have a smith do it. The trigger will smooth out over time. Give it a few hundred trigger pulls(with snap caps) and then put it down for a while. Come back and I bet it will feel better.

I have already done about 5-600 trigger pulls. I had lighter springs installed when I bought it. I can tell you yes the trigger is nicer than factory, its just not as smooth as what I would like. I have had someone he is a certified smith not from Smith & Wesson. He has offered to hone it. I have just been hesitant to do that. I guess that is why I'm asking others with more know how than me about how to go about dealing with this. Maybe I just need to dry fire a few hundred more times.I have only done that with snap caps. Maybe the name of a S&W certified gunsmith in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I don't know at this point. I'm still carrying it for CCW just not as nice as I would like.
