I’m almost done with my cheytac build! I figured it was time to get some powder ordered. It looks like it’s still impossible to find retumbo or VVN570. Has anyone used RL33 with 350gr bullet? Or does anyone know of any other good substitutes. I’ll be shooting CE 350gr MTH.

I had a he'll of a time finding vv570, but I did find 10, 1# retumbo all match, it's been really good with the 350 lazers so far. I just started loading for the 375ct also.
130grns of retumbo
Fed 215m
350grn ce lazer
Bertram brass
3050fps out of a DTA HTI.

Any reason you're choosing the MTH by CE instead of the Laser? If you plan on hunting with it, the laser is still a great hunting bullet! We have seen better performance from the lasers both in 350 grain with a 1:10 twist and the 400 grain with a 1:7 twist.

I am running the 400 Lazer CE with 129.3gr of N570. But i would think if you plan on using the 350 CE or other 350ish gr bullet you could use N565 which is slightly fast burn the N570 and should work well for the lighter bullet. Powder Valley has a bunch of N565 in stock (just looked) and this is an option.

Max with 352 CEB in every barrel I’ve owned in Bertram is

134 w n570
132 w retumbo
High 130s w rl33

I might give that a try. Any suggestions for a starting load with that? Haven’t used any VV powders before.

What city are you located at in AZ? I just got my ELR rifle built and I live near Ben Avery and was looking for others that shot ELR to shoot and train together.

For the N565 i would start at 127 or 128 the work up in 1 grain increments. I would think you would end up around 131 to 135 just depends were the node is.
