So I ordered one of those Concealed carry shirts by 511. Initally I threw it on. And it feels like a crazy tight padded underarmor shirt. I like how warm it is. I'm in New England after all. But I dropped in my 1911, and have discovered I'm too skinny and short to use this with that pistol. Kinda frustrated, but i'll eventually get over it.

Any of you use this shirt? If so what pistol do you carry?

Re: 511 concealed shirt

i sometimes wear one to carry my 1911 in. i like it. my only beef with it is the closeure is not quite strongenough if i bend over, and the butt of the pistol tries to come out

Re: 511 concealed shirt

Warm is not the word for that shirt. I have one and can only wear it in the winter. It will carry a subcompact pistol like a glock 26 or 27 with out a problem. I have never tried it with anything larger.

It can be pretty handy, I had hoped I could wear them in more applications, but for me its to warm most of the time. I've found that small slim guns work best, Ruger LCP (stock finish didn't hold up for me when it got sweaty, NP3'd now) Kahr PM or P9 etc. 340 PD J-frame felt a little to lumpy for my tastes or clothing preferences.

Re: 511 concealed shirt

I got one in my size and agree that it's a bit snug and uncomfortable when the weather gets warmer. Don't try to modify it for summer with a pair of scissors. You'll ruin it. Don't ask me how I know. I ended picking up one a size larger and it just made the pistol sit lower. The muzzle basically was riding on my belt.

I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP and it's pushing the limits of the shirt.

Would I recommend it.....no
