6.5 CM Reamer Choice

Didn't know where to post so I put it here...

I am in on the SH Group Buy with a 6.5 CM build.

Looking for some guidance on choice of reamer from LRI's list: They have a one setup for "tactical/berger VLSs" or Factory Amax...

That being said...

I'm using an 8.5 twist barrel finished at 24.

I currently do not reload so will be shooting hornaday factory 140 amax to start

That being said, I am gathering reloading equipment as we speak, I have reloading experience with others but never had my own equipment...since moving I'm gathering my supplies as I can...

SO on to the questions.... Would freebore just be too long to shoot hornady amax in a chamber/freebore setup for mag compliant VLDs? If not, I have concern if 8.5 twist is fast enough to stabilize 140 VLD/Hybrid's anyways when I choice to reload? Most seem to recco an 8 twist for those bullets...

If I would still have plenty of bullet choices using the "amax" reamer I'll go that way and conceed the VLD's given that I'm new to long range anyways... I figure I can stabilize the amax, sierra match 142s and 139 scenars at 8.5 anyways...

I've no personal experience with 6.5cm chambers so I've nothing to add on that...

The 8.5 twist will do you just fine on for the 140s.

Well that settles that for me anyways... Now the difficult task of picking a freebore for the chamber essentially...
