Im putting together a 6bra and need dies. Any recommendations? I have had the short action customs dies in the shopping cart a few times and the $600 price tag seems to get in the way of the submit order button. Are they worth the premium? Ive ordered peterson brass that has not shipped yet so i cant measure the neck for bushing selection, any advice on bushings would be appreciated as well.

thanks,

nate

you can get redding dasher dies and have .080" removed.

The regular, full size whidden sizing die is great too.

I have the SAC seater and it is top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to get their sizing dies for my next calibre.

Anyone you know use Peterson brass? If so, have them put a mic on a unfired case. My guess is you are going with a no-turn chamber so you will need a bushing that will give you about .0015 - .003 neck tension. If the die you decide on has an expander ball in the decapping stem, would suggest removing it and getting a mandrel to expand necks to whatever you want final neck tension to be. @Eric_F suggestion above is probably the best bang for your buck out there to make excellent ammo with low runout. You would need to fire the cases you send the guys at Harrells 3 times though, which makes it hard if you don't have some 6mm die that you can put some neck tension on prior to seating a bullet.
If you want a cheap 6BRA die, I have a Whidden bushing die that is going up for sale tomorrow with a .267 bushing included. PM me for early price.
Cheers

Harrell's will take 3 fired cases and make you a custom die, but what I linked is off the shelf.
