Hello everyone this is my first post. I am trying to get some references since I’m about to start reloading my 6arc. Currently running a AR15 with a Faxon 20 inch barrel shooting hornady factory loads 108 ELD-M. These are the chronograph velocities and information I have for this round using a magneto chronograph. My question is is this a higher than normal velocity for my set up and if not what other most closely mimics the factory powder used by Hornady. I have already taken down a pig at 645 yards with this set up and like to keep it if possible. Thanks

If you’re going to start reloading what have you found as far as brass bullets primers powder?

Today is my 60th birthday and the day I registered here. Why? Well I committed in assembling a 6ARC upper, waiting on a my scope to arrive sometime this weekend I hope. I have experience reloading .223. Now I took the deep dive with this cartridge. So far, I see the shortage of once fired brass nation wide, bummer. As I continue to do research I found out about the neckdown on the Grendel brass so I know it's another choice. How difficult it is to neckdown 6.5 grendel brass? I have all dies that I can think of. I had close to 2K for my birthday present and the blessing from the misses to blow it off what ever I wanted LMAO. Anyway, here is the list of parts that I assembled.

20" SS416 R Ballistic Advantage barrel with all components needed to assemble the upper, it looks really good. I imagine everyone did well.

My lower is well assembled with a 3lbs 2 stage trigger smooth as butter. Here is a pic of the lower with my 20" .223 Wylde upper and the other pic is the 6ARC upper and and all the rest.

Good day to all

You can also fire form it from 220 Russian or 76 2 x 39 for my brass i fire formed from 220 Russian it’s very simple run through the arc die to expand from 22 caliber to 243 caliber load long jamming the bullet into the rifling and touch it off then they will need to be trimmed etc.
