Gunsmithing 700 into 40xlike .22

I have read that 700 parts interchange with a 40x, SO, is it possible , if all the parts were gathered, could a person build a rem. 700 in 22lr...is a barrel and bolt all that is needed?

The bolt lugs are to the rear on the 40x .22 and the bolt is 2-pc. I don't know if it could be modified to work or not. It could probably be done, but the cost might be prohibitive.

Thanks, thats why I asked....Have several 700,s NO 40x,s...shitcan that idea....
