Suppressors 762-SD QD mount on a rem sps tactical AAC-SD 308

I just received a Rem 700 SPS tactical AAC-SD 308

Is there any problems with mounting this on it

I know I can not have a suppressor in Iowa but likes the way it looks on a barrel and it is not that much more than a vortex

if you are not allowed to have a suppressor in your state why would you buy a rifle specifically designed for mounting and functioning with a suppressor?

To answer the OP's question, yes there is nothing preventing you from putting the blackout flashhider or the AAC muzzle break on the gun. Just make sure the threading of the break/flash hider is the same as the rifle.

Also, be advised that the vortex and blackout flash hiders give a loud pinging noise that some people find annoying. I personally dont, but it does ping. The break will not give the ping sound.

It will work just fine if that is what you want, but its kind of pointless (other than the "look of it").

There are better muzzle brakes and flash hiders out there on the market that will work better on your rifle since you have no need for the suppressor mounting point on the AAC unit (and they may even "look spiffy" too).

Whatever dude. In his state it is still free enough for him to buy that particular gun with that particular feature. If you are willing to berate someone for buying a gun for an aesthetic purpose then I am willing to bet that you have top notch customer service. Besides, maybe he has plans to move to a state that does allow suppressors. Is that totally out of the realm of possibility?

I like nothing more than entering a gunshop and being treated like I am being done a favor by being in the building.

I have rifles set up different ways

my GAP AR10 has a vortex for shooting NV
My GAP 300wm has nothing
My Ar15's also have the vortex for shooting NV
I bought the sps tactical aac-sd because I can, and if I want to shoot NV with it

plus the rifle has a 1/10 twist and is going in a AICS 2.0 w/nightforce 5.5-22x50

i agree that the 1/10 twist is a plus. i never gave it much thought, but i guess all the other factory Remingtons aside from the 5R are 1:12 twist.

How many guys send their rifles out to be threaded for a brake ? This one already is threaded ... just because a barrel is threaded doesnt mean it must be for a suppressor.

If you bridge the tips together with a TIG weld bead it is no longer a tuning fork. I couldn't stand it.

The 18 tooth 762SD is crap. I've had 3 of em and they all have accuracy problems. I now have a new 51 tooth on the way. Hopefully that will fix the issues.
