7mm-08 Remimgton

Looking for some starting loads and some proven performance loads.

I don't really see any in the other forum. Mostly 7Mag and 7 WSM.

Looking to use projectiles between 162-175gr bullets and either 4064 or stabill 6.5 powder.

I’ve used both IMR and H4350’s. Began with 162 Amax and now use ELDM. XBR gave pressure way before I could ever come close to the speeds of the 4350’s, but others claim to have good luck. Varget is another successful option but I haven’t had the need to test it. I just picked up a pound of StaBALL 6.5 just to see how it’s speed compares, so will run that test soon.

39.5gr XBR got me 2707 with a 162gr ELD-M 26" tube and good accuracy.

Staball seems to be a bust so far with my 7-08 Ackley. Check the thread out on that powder for my results.

Varget is the money for 139s to 160s IME. I haven't yet tried H4350, but it's my next one to try.

You’ll do well to run some H4350 and compare it to your XBR. You can do a lot better with your 26” than 2700...

Looking for load using 139sst and H4350. Hodgdon list starting load at 47 gr and max at 50gr. Using rem brass and primers. Seems heavy to me?... I have hornady brass and CCI lr primers. Have seen most use varget but I’d like to keep that for .308.
