I had purchased a custom 7wsm built on a UGSW 911 Long action that I haven't had a chance to shoot yet.

The person I bought it from said he was running the 180 Bergers at a COAL of 3.152" with 69gr. of H1000 getting 3070fps. Has anyone run loads with this charge? The highest charge I've seen mentioned during my search has been 67.5gr of H1000.

The rifle only has 150 rounds through it and I have all his once fired brass and I see no signs of pressure on the brass.

Obviously I have no intention of starting my loads this high, I'm just curious if anyone is running it this high without signs of pressure?

Thanks

Funny searched and found this thread. Next time we go shooting we can take our 7wsm. 69grs of H1000 is a very hot load. I shot 64.5gr and I got popped primers a few summers ago when it was above 100F.

I use 65 grains of reloader 25, a much slower powder than H1000 and I'm getting over 3 K in velocity. Word of caution. If I were you, I'll develop my own load. Don't trust anyone else reload or data for that matter. And yes! that includes the former owner of the rifle. Remember you are the one pulling the trigger.

I settled on 65.0 grs. of H1000 with a 180 Berger as my go to load for my 7 WSM. While not the fastest 7 WSM load it shot so well that I had no desire to look any further.
