Just thought I would share with you guys what we are up to:

Media Day at the Range is in the books.

I didn't get quite as much photo or video footage shot as I intended, but it was mainly due to the crowds and the fact that I was trying to actually shoot some of the guns.

I am working on the video. I hope to have it up tonight, but here are the photos.

There was not a whole lot of long range/precision stuff at the range. It was extremely rushed. Just trying to get folks through and on the guns didn't leave a lot of time to discuss the features. I am planning on getting detailed interview videos with the reps over the next couple of days.

I think you are talking about the battery compartment (just in front of the magnification ring). It takes one CR123 battery!

What brand bi-pod is that in the last two pics? Is it some kind of Atlas or something that just looks kinda like one?

Interesting to see some of those scopes, wondering about the Trijicon and the Burris details. FFP? MIL/MIL? Illuminated?

Snap a few spy pics from the Seekins booth for us please.

I started to get excited about the Hensoldt, but then after the review I'm not so sure. Who needs 36 mils? I would have preferred an 18 mil single turn knob instead. I also wonder about that battery compartment in terms of mounting. I guess we'll see...

Thanks for the coverage. The wind seemed pretty brutal a few times there.

Curious about the reticles for the new Zeiss and Henny scopes, anything new there similar to the NF MLR or S&B PF4?

Accuracy International had their new stocksides and Savage Model 10 chassis on display. This is NOT the Savage chassis from last year. It's totally redesigned and should be available April/May

Guys, sorry i am not getting the updates out any faster. The goal today is to try to get "blow by blow" updates out on facebook and twitter since those integrate with my iPhone better. Due to the time it takes to edit and render the videos, those usually won't be up until the next morning. Keeping them short allows me to get them up on youtube fast, bit it also takes me a bit longer to handle.

Once we get back home, I awill do a wrap up video with my own comments on what I got to shoot or fondle.

Please subscribe to our YouTube channel and levelsome comments on the videos. The marketing folks I meet with here do pay attention to that stuff. In addition it keeps me motivated at 0130 when the videos have an hour left to render.

I have raw footage of American Snipers, McMillan and some others, but the laptop is straining under the load. I am probably going to save it so that I can try to get Leupold, Cadex/Drake Chassis and some others in before the show is over.

My plan is to roll everything into a nice long SHOT Show episode when I can edit it on my desktop workstation.
