I agree, she said she was taking the video because earlier the two vehicles were having some road rage issues with each other and she was going to notify each company of how their drivers were acting.

I was gonna post the same thing, Austan. I've always wondered that. I see multiple great reasons for motorcycle helmet or tank cams, but I don't see what appeal there is in driving around with a video camera rolling. Having a dash cam that you can flip on quickly is a little different, and would be especially useful in some areas of the country.

Seeing the explanation given, I can understand that as well. Blocking up both lanes to run side-by-side with each other like that is not good behavior. Also, unless I'm seeing something wrong the lady taking the video is closer to the vehicle in front of her than she should be. There's only around 1 second of following distance, when there should be at least twice that. Good reaction, though - didn't flip out or swerve off the road and roll over or anything.

I can't say that it is terribly smart driving down the road, behind two "road raging" trucks, with one hand on the wheel and a video camera in the other...but one thing is for sure...a flying 2x4 is damn deadly object!! She's lucky it wasn't a few feet to the left of where it impacted her windshield or she'd have inadvertently video-taped her own impaling/death!!

Yeah that could have ended so much worse, that is one lucky lady. I was watching a video on you tube a while back of some rally car racing accidents, this one clip showed an in car cam of a tree limb impaling the windshield and going right between both the driver and navigator at head level, they both just look at it like "I just crapped myself". I will have to see if I can find the clip.

I really think the reason she didn't swerve or scream is she was paying way too much attention to the screen on the video camera...again, she does need to pay better attention to her own issues.

Similar thing happened to my shooting partner, he drives a bobtail milk truck for a living. A 2x4 fell off a truck in front of him on the freeway, the end punched through the front and rear windshield and penetrated the refrigerator box on his truck.Missed his head by 6 inches. He drove back to the yard with the 2x4 sticking out of his truck.

I saw this yesterday....There sure would've been a loud WTF exclaimed. Later I saw footage of an interview with lady and the interviewer never asked why she was filming. Funny this is where I find out but never the less there are still videos of people catching some crazy stuff on camera and I'm curious why they were filming in the first place. Glad she's OK.

My last vacation was to Disneyland here in Loser Angeles about 9 years ago, (yes I know I should get out more) Took a bunch of good video there. On the way back my teenage son decided he wanted to tape the whole trip back over the top of all the video we had for the three days

Pretty much about 3 hours of him checking out tits on the drive back home. At least he wasn't taping dicks I guess. That is why people get all kinds of weird videos.

I saw one just like that... and without skipping a beat they shoved that fucker right back out the windshield, and kept on racing!!!

Back on the topic (sorta)... I think its almost a requirment to film yourself in Russia! Ever seen their in car vids??? lol

I do it here in Kuwait, you never know what weird kinda shit you see on the roads over here. The people drive like total idiots, DOT/Motor Carrier Cops back home would be working overtime, they don't tie stuff down on truck, I saw a boat, a big boat like we use on the Great Lakes setting along 6 ring going to Kuwait City last week, a boat in the desert, not on a trailer, just setting there, i know its not far from the Persian Gulf but still weird shit, so i randomly film in hopes of getting something like this.
