A Jew a Zionist walk into a bar.

Yessir! Those are good scriptures that I believe wholeheartedly. I just don’t believe the part MacArthur said about God seeing me when he look at the cross.
I could be wrong.

But yes I do believe Jesus took our place on the cross. A punishment I certainly deserved!
I believe @LuckyLuke80 said it well.

He was just putting it in layman terms for the guy. It is a common phrase. It just means that during Jesus' crucifixion, God considered all the sins of humanity to be placed upon Christ, and in turn, when God looks at a believer, He sees the perfect righteousness of Christ instead of their own sin.

When he looked at the cross, he saw belivers. Me and you and all the rest of us
That’s pretty humbling. How we could walk away from that with even an ounce of pride left in us is beyond me. But we do

It’s okay to disagree with certain doctrines. So long as the individuals is not preaching a bogus heretical path to salvation. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t know His scripture. Rest assured, you can bet his stance is what he got from scripture, and not imposing his own world view on scripture. Just means he interprets it differently, and I will say, he’s not alone in his interpretation. Disagreements in theology are not unusual amongst even the most well studied evangelical theologians, they’re pretty common, but so long as they agree on the biblical path to salvation through Christ alone by grace alone and not by works, they’re a brother in Christ. Not an enemy.

Are you judging people, sir? Because we're not judging you.
