So this guy worked for a while as a Philly Police Officer and then refused to stop wearing his uniform? His dept upgraded from Smith and Wesson to the much more powerful Glock? I didn't know one brand of gun was more powerful than another. And what the heck is a "high caliber weapon"?
Listen here, you don't need to know what a "high caliber weapon" is! We, your new masters, will determine what is considered a "high caliber weapon" and will notify you after we have seized your ability to defend yourself with anything larger than a paper clip. We'll likely start with anything over a .38 and work our way down. Check back daily for the list of "high caliber weapons", as it will be continuously updated, but always at the most inopportune time, such as after we have dispatched ourhighly-militarized tactical team to your house for failing tocomply with your homeowners' association bylaws . After all, we know what's best for you!! How dare you think otherwise? The beatings will continue until you fall in line.

I for one feel better knowing that should I ever need 911, a man of his caliber may be coming to rescue me. With a low caliber weapon? Whatever that may be.

I totally agree with the guy. Police depts. and their officers are starting to look and act way too military. It's ok to have a Swat team or whatever for really high stress situations, but many depts. are getting out of control with armored vehicles and military looking uniforms. It is distancing the common man from trusting them and making the people afraid of the Police in general. Joe Arpaio actually has a armored vehicle with a fully automatic M2 machine gun mounted on top. It's both a waste of money and screams, hey look at me I'm a douche bag. I can't believe the tax payers in Maricopa county want their tax dollars paying for M2 machine guns.
