Found this stunning AH Fox Grade A with gorgeous wood. Tight as a drum. 28" Mod Full. Been looking for a non-Sterlingworth/Non Model B... for ages. That wasn't 3 grand! This one was sitting in a corner at an LGS (which had 25 Purple Ruger Single Action .22's apparently for Pride Month)... for 850 cash.

Winning!

Very nice! Reminds me of my Great-Grandfather's old L.C. Smith double, that still hangs over my Dad's mantle. I'm not sure what year it is, but he was born in 1877.

Beautiful. Any chance you can post more pics?

I'll put some wood pix up later. Value... always what someone would pay. The values are depressed right now. Noone wants fine doubles any more. Except us boomers, I guess ;-) Everyone wants AR's and plastic. Which I like too. But fine doubles will never go out of style.

So... until a few years ago, 2K-3K all day long. Nowadays... about 1500 - 2000 for a nice one. And this is a nice one.

Anyone who wanted a fine Parker, L.C., Fox, Ithaca, Lefever... now is the time to get yourself one! Your grandkids will be shooting it!

Still searching for a Trojan 16... to complete the trio! Those remain high... because the Trojan 16 may be the best-shooting, best-balanced Amerian sxs ever made!

Cheers,

Sirhr
