Appear to have an endcap strike today. Not sure why as I have never had issues before with this setup
Remington 700 LTR TWS. Lake City M118LR (not XM not Winchester)
AAC 7.62SD
See pics below.
Thanks for any help and guidance.

Certainly appears to be one... Might want to go ahead and get on the repair list for ECCO Machine to get that fixed...I hear they're like 12+ months out right now. Might as well get them to gut it, burn-in some new (better) baffles, cut that AAC mount off and thread it 1.375x24, and get it re-cerakoted while they got it, that way it will be like a brand new can, and you can run most any/all modern suppressor mounts from now on.

Seconded. I'm in line with ECCO for a mount replacement on my old SDN-6 because 51t mounts are garbage. I'm skipping the recore, etc on mine since it'll continue to be a hard use can on a 308, just on a reliable mount.

Wow! Had no idea he picked up that much work. I had him fix an endcap strike and modify my 762sd for modular mounts probably over a year ago.

That's the route I'd take op. Top notch work at a very good price

Don't know if they offer this, but wouldn't see why they couldn't make it work... But if they can add the ability to thread the muzzle end of the can to accept Dead Air Sandman/Nomad end caps, that would be really cool. And it would eliminate you needing to have it sent off again. You can just replace the cap at home yourself. Screws right on/off.
