Since working on my little sporter I've found I can shoot three-shot groups of 168gr Federal GMM to just over 5" at 500 yards (my bro can shoot smaller with it) and it doesn't start getting squirrely till 600 yards. But this is in no-wind conditions and allowing cooling between each of the three shots, and again a longer period between each string.
Is 1 MOA to 500 yards considered very good, mediocre, or something else entirely (gotten a few comments implying I was lying about it, so maybe it's stellar?)?
Is 1 MOA at 500 an accurate picture of what the rifle will do when we have to let the barrel cool between shots and between strings?
Is it good enough for a class?
Danke schon.
