I really like the looks of this over the others. But I’m the minority in trying to get my guns lighter and if I had the guess this is probably the heaviest options. With the new pricing on victor rails I can see one of them in my future.

I went back and forth with the Sawtooth or just saying f it and buying the Victor Co rails. I just figured I would try the sawtooth first as I haven used any ARCA based systems before. Am pretty impressed with the ease of use so the Victor co rail may happen soon.

Screwed on the short 308 tube to install a Tbac brake while my can is out for work and swapped the K318I out for the leupold. Got a chance to grab a quick zero with the new optic before the rain comes this week. 3 rounds for a group and one to confirm the correction of the 185 jug FGMM.

This looks like the Victor Company Forend installed on that rifle, if that is what you are asking about.

If you’re replying to NoLegs, it appears that it isn’t a Vict Comp rail, as it’s a different front end, no integrated QD mounts, an integrated top rail, and MLok at the 45 offset instead of the slotted cutouts.

Looks great with the short tube. What twist rate are you using for the 185s? I shoot 178 ELDM in mine but have the standard AI (UK) 1-12 twist rate so not tried anything heavier?

It's a US barrel, should be a 10 twist if I remember correctly.

    Hi AXMC
    Yes its velcroed.
With my arm length it was slow to retrieve rounds when mounted on the forend.
I had to break cheek weld, where it is now its easy to reach the rounds.
The quiver is rock solid, i used the stiff 50mm plastic velcro.

    deersniper,
It's called a Sniper Hider made here in the UK.
It is a protector for the scope, it screws on to the scope and opens by turning the knobs.
You can have it open in stages to stop glare.
I have a optical clear filter inside it to protect the front scope lens as I shoot comps in a giant sandpit next to .338's with savage muzzle breaks!

Ever wonder how to de-bond, prep, and re-bond an AI back together? Here you go gents!

    1) De-bonding the buttstock

    2) De-bonding the action

    3) Bonding the action, chassis, and buttstock back together

Just got off the range after sending my bolt over to LRI to get bushed. 6.5CM Lapua brass was pierce and crater city and now it leaves a perfect little primer dent. I’ll recommend to anyone looking to avoid the non-capitalistic route of new AI bolt assembly.

have I mentioned how much of laser this thing is....;)

I've gone through this entire thread a couple times now trying to decide which color AXSR to go with. I've always been a black guy, but leaning towards Elite Sand this go round. Are the elite sand and FDE just Cerakote's E-150 and E-200? Or are they proprietary mixes for AI?

They are all AI specific colors.

Pale brown is more like your standard lighter FDE. AI dark Earth is more like a coyote color. Elite sand is light green, like a Folige green. AI sage green is kinda a forest green.

Yeah I can see that with FDE, but it's odd that they actually use the names elite sand and elite midnight for the other two. I was hoping they were straight up elite cerakote colors.

I had LRI cerakote a barrel in the standard offered cerakote elite sand to go on my elite sand AXMC and it was a match.

Did you make it? If so you should make one with the Mudhorn Signet. I’d buy some.

It was like $2.50 off eBay. I ordered two in red and one in silver and got free shipping.

See here. I have no association with the seller whatsoever.

There appear to be many Mudhorn Signet stickers also all over eBay.

Cool, was just trying to throw some $$ your way if you were making them. Looks great btw.
