Skill outshoots big wallets all the time.....Oh and my favorite anecdote of the K&M class: one of my lodge mates brought a stock (straight out of the box, no weights, no nothing) Bergara 6.5creedmoor with a Vortex Strike Eagle on it and took top shot of the class, outshooting about 150grand worth of rifles on the line
Was also the first time for him shooting a bolt action long range, but he did have a massive round count out of the tactical games so a lot of trigger experience. Was just really cool to see that steep learning curve and knowledge transfer kick in really fast for some folks during the course.Skill outshoots big wallets all the time.....
I'll post a pic of my genuine one in 6.5 creedmoor when I pick it up next week
A video that includes the AI G22 in 300 Win Mag or as listed in the video, 7.62x67.
I purchased the same ERATAC mount which is for the AI and the Steiner MX5I scope.
The one i purchased was sold as RAL8000 but it is obviously not as it’s to match the AI and Steiner scope.
I have a S&B 5-25 in Ral8000 and will be mounting them on a Rem 700 in 300 Win Mag when the Badger Rail arrived.
I ordered the rail with 0 MOA because the ERATAC has 30MOA built in.
I tried to find a Recknagle rail but no luck in the USA and GB said they could not ship to the USA.
Where to get a Matching Steiner I don’t know but I-saw one like it from Canada but they Wanted Full price.
Maybe it was Candaian, I have to go back and check!-Richard
I was driving back from the range thinking of posting this exact question.Looking for opinions.
I’ve decided to get a Ckye Pod for my AXSR. Am torn between the heavy and double pull. Which do you have? Would prefer and why?
Thanks!

It’s a skid pad from ECS Dynamic Gear. Discontinued and the company is out of business. Also, what bag is that on the Arca rail? I like it’s form factor
I think you get more action on that ARCA pad than any other single accessory on The Hide does, haha!
They disco'd Elite Sand and are bring back Sage Green. I don't know if they shipped any sage rifles yet, I don't think I've seen anyone post one up yet.So when I look on AI's website, I see the AXSR is available in sage green. I don't recall that color ever being available here in the US.
Did I miss something or has AI not shipped any in this color?
this settles it....elite sand aint so ELITE now is it! All you ES owners can repent and break out the rattle cans now to cover your mistakes. They disco'd Elite Sand and are bring back Sage Green. I don't know if they shipped any sage rifles yet, I don't think I've seen anyone post one up yet.
EuroOptic has almost a dozen different AXSRs in Sage Green listed on their website. None are currently in stock, so probably on the way soon.So when I look on AI's website, I see the AXSR is available in sage green. I don't recall that color ever being available here in the US.

So I did a thing and it worked out pretty decent.
I was able to snatch an Accuracy International AICS 1.5 Legacy chassis at a killer price(450 dollars). It had some years under its belt and was kind of rough and had the most insanely solid spraypaint on it initially. Bolts were also mostly chewd to bits… The alu-chassis was in prestine condition, other than som dust, but the panels needed som work. Nothing worked(aceton etc) to remove the paint, so I had to use more heavy tools to get it back to its original color. Im like 100% i will rattlecan it further down the road but I wanted to bring back to life the original color as a base atleast. Fortunate to have glass-blasting equipment available, and that work like magic. The final pieces are still curing(kind of shiny in wet fase) so will update again when they are fully cured

This was pretty beat so 450 was just a insane good price, and I just winged it to try and make it new. Not planning to sell but a good piece should run 8-1200 dollars maybe? I guess they are around 1500-2000dollars in the us i believe? What is actually the going rate on these now? I have one that I will sell this summer when I upgrade and can't find good comp prices.

To be fair, anything Kel-Tec has a higher street cred than a non-ES AI.I'm sorry, but I can't see your rant through the glow of the awesome aura of my Elite Sand. It shields me from snarky comments, as well as protects me from any and all things Kel-Tec.
Fde will never be the real AI colorElite sand is now vintage ,fde is here to stay the real AI color

was reading that same thread thinking how much I wished axsr was still bonded.
I don't think bonding is as important as how AI can hold small tolerances because of its great design. The action, lug, and spine can be precisely machined so fit is essentially perfect.was reading that same thread thinking how much I wished axsr was still bonded.
That is pretty cool...a thumbhole AT butt on an AXMC...you right handed people get all the choices

What's the red dot do?
I also run a red dot on all my precision stuff ... super handy for fast target acquisition! Float dot in rough vicinity of target and drop down on glass with target in FOV immediately.Quickly get on target for obscure targets and when the pdogs get inside the wire
Add to that the 5 action scews holding an AXSR action in place vs the 2 for a rem700 pattern (with a pretty minimal thread engagement). The quiet part of that bonded thread is that it's a potential issue for round style actions. Flat bottomed actions like the AIs, Win 74s, some kelbly actions aren't even close to having some of those issues. They are more robust and is easier to mate 2 flat surfaces than a round into whatever the hell they are milling in those stocks.
How many flips for it?
I mentioned that in the thread, but nobody discussed it.The quiet part of that bonded thread is that it's a potential issue for round style actions.
