Just wanted to ask if anyone here has had any luck with decent accuracy with factory ammo out of the 98 Bravo in 338? The best groups that me and my buddy can get it to shoot are 1.25 inch to 1.5 inch groups at 100 yards with hornady 250 grain bthp match ammo. Has anyone had similar size groups with factory loads which improved to 1 moa or less with hand loads. I have seen posts on the hide about the good accuracy people have had with this rifle. Going to try black hills next. I'm not an awesome shot but my friend is which is why I asked him to help zeroing the rifle.
I haven't started reloading yet, but will soon.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Accuracy of 98 Bravo with factory loads

Have you shot it at distances farther than 100? Try stretching its legs once its zeroed and I think that your groups should shrink alittle once the bullet has time to stabilize. I would think that shooting anything inside of 300 meters with a 338 is a waste of ammo. But to each his own. Best of luck I'm sure some one will chim in with more info.

oh yeah, Im gonna be shooting out past 300 yards later. I haven't had the opportunity to shoot out at distance yet. I will try it very soon.
Really just getting into shooting longer distances and am new to this caliber.
