High tech name for plastic is synthetic right? I'm only new to this.. what would be better? Long action or short action? Is it a good rifle?

I am curious, since I have a new/old Savage 10FP.(SF SA), what type of factory ammo you guys are using with your factory 308 Savages to get good accuracy ??????

I ask since I am buying some ammo for my AR 10 to take advantage of sales that are going on this weekend.....
