I’ve seen some similar questions to this in response to other threads, but usually they get lost amidst the responses to the main question.

I’ve been considering getting a Tikka at3x CTR (24”) or Varmint and putting it in a KRG Bravo stock. Recently, though, I found a Seekins Havak Bravo, new, that is within $50 of what the cost would be To get the CTR and the Bravo stock, etc.

Looking at 6.5cm, maybe 6.5prc. It will be used most for range shooting, with some occasional hunting. I’m not worried about a bit of weight.

My question is this - for the same money, which do you feel is the better rifle, the Tikka, or the Seekins, and why?

Both are great rifles. My Havak PH1 6 creed shoots fantastic. I’m definitely happy with that purchase, especially since I got it on a nice sale.

The CTR is silky smooth, has a great trigger, and very accurate. I haven’t had the chance to shoot my new CTR .223 yet, but just tossed it into a bravo as well. I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

I’d buy the Seekins just for fun. The Tikkas are a known quantity and you can buy a CTR all day for $800 and put it in a $370 Bravo all day, just like everyone else and their grandmother, just like I did, and have the same amazing accuracy as everyone else. It’s a sure thing. You’re going to have a 1/2-MOA gun or better with no effort, with a boring stock with no character, that looks the same as the other 10,000 guys that did the CTR-in-a-Bravo.

took mine out a few weeks ago and shot a 1/8-MOA Group off the bat to confirm zero. It’s stupid accurate. And the Bravo is more comfortable than it should be and is mediocre with no soul. It’s the Glock of precision rifles.

You can’t go wrong, but only one of them is sexy
