I haven’t looked through one of those for several yrs, so I can’t compare on memory. I also haven’t looked beyond about 400yds with the Riton.
I have 2 (just sold one) Athlon Ares BTR and thinking back, you would have had to spend 2k a few years ago to get a 6x erector scope with a real zero stop and a good mil/mil turret and reticle. We have to acknowledge that “Chinese” does not automatically mean junk anymore. In another few years the Chinese may catch the Japanese.
My old PA 4-14 FFP mil/mil has been back and forth on the elevation so much it ought to be worn out. It still tracks true and pops squirrel heads on my American Rimfire like money. It also has just over 30 mils of elevation travel and has shot 22 to 400. It ain’t Japanese clear but bushytails can’t tell.

If it is the one I think it is, it is on par with a PST gen1. The Mod 7s are the ones done in Japan, along with some of the Mod 5s. The Mod 7 4-32x56 is their best scope right now and I like it more than my Vortex Razor gen2s. If you search this site you will find more info on them. Riton has been around for a few years, slowly expanding product lines. Great folks and very solid customer service. Simple warranty, if it breaks, send it back and they send you a new one.

It's true, we do find it entertaining. Too bad he gave up so easily. I do wonder how often we've chased away someone who really is interested in our sport but just screws up the first few posts. Yeah I as rule am a very patient person, willing to help people who have done their own part. Plenty of people have helped me. Ham radio especially where we have “Elmers” who are the persons you pick their brain to death on radio topics.
When people seem to want to skip that and have people rehash information over and over instead of looking....well I get snippy. When they double down and call people azzhoes for simply giving the impression that perhaps their premise is flawed or their lack of self motivated searching is lazy, I get downright impish.
A cursory read around any board will show the established etiquette and overall culture. This place? I read for years before signing up and I knew what it was and how I should act.

Couldn't agree with you more on the Hamm Radio deal. Some guys with serious brain power and years of experience. in the civilian radio world. I went through all three tests in 2011 and I still have a headache from the Amateur Extra test!

If ya don't car I'd like to ask ya another question ,, My AR-10 build ,,, the bolt catch will NOT hold the bolt back ,,, It's an AR-10 catch not a 15.. no clue why it wont.. It moves freely , full range of motion ,, just don't seem to catch .
I am not sure, maybe not enough gas. Does it have an adjustable gas block? I am Not an AR guy.
