Good evening Gents, I ust installed a new 338 barrel on my AX. My question is can the torque on the barrel imporve accuracy. My initial groups with lapua factory ammo measured 0.63, and the barrel is torqed to 90 foot pounds. Do you think that by going up on the foot pounds will increase the accuracy.
rilfe specs: AIAX 338 lapua 24 inch barrel with thunderbeast 338p1 USO 17 power ammo is factory 338 lapua with 300 grain S.
Thanks Joe.
PS I realize that the rifle should be torqued to 120FP, but was advised by my local smith that unless I am jumping out of an airplane I do not need to go that high.

Realistically as long as its torqued past 60 your fine. I've torqued more than a few barrels from 60 to 100 and never really seen a accuracy different to be honest.
