I am about to pick up an AICS 2.0 in FDE

now I know this is the newer gen with the new skins, is it true that the chassis is wider to accommodate an aftermarket Timney Trigger?

here is an example http://i.imgur.com/zk4km.jpg

Exodus343,
I have the newer AICS in FDE and the Timney trigger and unlike my older version went in w/o any issues. No modification whatsoever.

I have the same and i ordered the Timney Trigger. I drilled a little bit off to accommodate it. I will post pictures later.

Update
So i put my action onto my chassis, and everything went in smoothly

This is confusing because i thought my aics needs to be cut?

I had to remove a little on mine to get the two to work. However, I just put a new Timney in on a friends rifle which is in an AICS that he purchased a few months ago and nothing had to be modified. The rumor seems to be true.

Did you see or read my reply? Post # 2. I have the same stock and the Timney went in w/o any modifications.
